Your website is usually the first thing a customer sees before they call, book or walk in. Dead Monkey Design Studio builds custom WordPress websites for businesses in Springfield, Joplin and across Southwest Missouri. They load fast on a phone, they’re easy for your team to update, and they’re set up from day one so people nearby can find you.

What you get

A custom design, not a template. Every site starts from your brand, your customers and the one thing you want visitors to do.
Built for phones first. Most of your visitors will see the site on a phone, so that’s where we design and test first.
A site your team can run. You get a walkthrough and a site you can update yourself. Hours, photos, specials and blog posts don’t need a developer.
Local SEO built in. Page titles, descriptions, image alt text, structured data, a sitemap, Google Search Console setup and pages that name the places you serve.
Speed and accessibility. Light pages, clean code and readable contrast, so the site works for everyone and Google can read it easily.
You own it. The site, the domain and the content are yours when we’re done.

See it before you sign

We design a mockup of your new homepage before you commit to anything. You judge the direction with your own eyes, not a sales deck.

How it works

Dig. We learn your business, your customers and what’s not working on your current site.
Kill. Safe, forgettable ideas go first. What’s left is sharp and fits you.
Build. Design, copy, development and search setup happen together, so nothing gets lost between handoffs.
Launch. We launch, test on real phones, and keep the site healthy afterward if you want us to.

Who we build for

Gyms and fitness programs, local shops, practices and service businesses, and cities and public agencies. See Hyperprints for a recent client website, or browse all our work.

Questions people ask

Do you only work with Springfield businesses? No. We meet in person around Springfield and Joplin, and we work with clients anywhere over video calls.

What platform do you build on? WordPress, with a custom theme and no bloated page builder. That keeps the site fast and easy to update.

Can you redesign my current site? Yes. Start with our website redesign checklist to see what to gather first.

Will you guarantee I rank first on Google? Nobody can honestly promise that. We’ll build the site the right way and set up the local signals Google looks for.
